I loved this movie and wanted to share this clip with you because it tells a story of Dreams, Belief, Faith, Family, Hope, Perseverance, Ambition, and even challenges!

What are you facing in your life that is holding you back from going for what YOU want?

Who is saying that you will not succeed?

Ladies we learned on our Success Training Call this week “If it is to be, it is up to me!”

You have in control of your life just as the father in this movie was in control of his.

He had a dream, a BIG dream and he went for it against all odds.

How big is your dream, if it does not scare you then it is not big enough!

Dream big ladies, you can do it I believe in you!

You must take action to get it!

“Everything you want is out there waiting for you to ask. Everything you want also wants you. But you have to take action to get it.”~ Jack Canfield

You must take action to get it!

The big question I am posing today is simple. Are you now MOVING in the direction of your dreams?

 Are you LIVING your MISSION?

If not, why not?

Is FEAR holding you back from taking bold ACTION?

Today, I want you to think about how often you seize the day to make your life work on the level that you desire. How often do you actually “carpe those diems”?!

Again I ask, what actions will you take to move your # 1 goal closer to completion in February?

(You do realize that January 2008 is now history. Seems like this month just blew by! Something to ponder, isn’t it?)

If you missed our Success Training Call last night we finished our Series

New Year New You where we have been learning how to set resolutions and goals and make them last!

We have addressed fear, procrastination, and how to move from problems to possibilities!

Seize the day ladies do something TODAY that will demonstrate that you are COMMITTED to YOUR dream!

I cannot do everything, but still I can do something

“I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.”~ Helen Keller

Today I want to challenge you to take bold action.

You can’t do EVERYTHING.  But you can do SOMETHING.

So, DO something!

For the past 4 weeks on our Tuesday Night Success Training Calls we have been talking about doing SOMETHING!

Doing something every day to demonstrate that you are committed to YOUR dream!

Is FEAR holding you back from taking bold ACTION? (Week 2 we learned how to handle fear)

My question to you is:

Are you now MOVING in the direction of your dreams? Are you LIVING your MISSION? If not, why not?

Today, I am going to give you a few questions to ask yourself from TQ Thinking. These questions will help crystallize your thoughts into action… to help you transform your mission into clear goals… goals into rock-solid plans… and plans into a series of accomplishments.

Goals. Plans. Actions. Again I ask, what actions will you take to move your # 1 goal closer to completion in February?

What are you avoiding because it is bigger than you are?

How BIG is your # 1 goal?

Big, I hope!

Last week on our Tuesday Success Training call we talked about moving from problems to possibilities by breaking it down.

When seen in their entirety, difficult or complex projects appear too overwhelming even to begin. However, even the largest project is simply a sequence of smaller, “do-able” steps.

Take a deep breath, and then take action—one step at a time.

Once you know where you’re going, focus on the ONLY step you can control—the one immediately in front of you.

   Insight Questions:

How much time can you save by DOING instead of PONDERING?

   The Bottom Line.

Tonight we will finish our Five Part series New Year New You and we have learned how to take our Resolutions and Goals and take them step by step to ensure that they do last and we are able to have what we want.

Join us tonight as we learn how to take that written goal and break it down so it can become a reality for you!

Grateful Monday Party

Posted in attitude, blogging, dream coach, gift, girl power, girls, goals, grateful, gratitude, life coach, moms, new years resolution, passion, personal development, self talk, success, thankful, the secret at 7:10 pm by Sandra Hersey

Ladies every week on my myspace site for G.I.R.L.S. ~ Girls Inspiring Real Life Success we have a Grateful Monday Party where we list what we are grateful for today.

According to an online article on the power of gratititude by Readers Digest, this is some of what they had to say:

The Power of Gratitude

So how do we use all this science of gratitude in our lives? The power of gratitude takes just a few minutes a day. But it requires consistency and an open mind—and dedication. Says Emmons, “I think gratitude is a demanding quality, a rigorous quality. It’s a discipline, an exercise.” It may not come easily, but it can be developed. Here’s how:

 Record your thanks.

Take a moment during the day—right before bedtime is usually best—to jot down three things that happened that day for which you are grateful. Anything that made you feel uplifted, that brought a smile to your face or your heart, or will contribute toward your future happiness, works. ……..

And it enhances your self-esteem.

 See the patterns.

Over time, you’ll notice a consistency within the list of items you’re grateful for. Many entries will underscore the importance of people in your life. Others will highlight meaningful experiences. Still other items will be things that began with you, things you created that you can point to with pride and say, I made that happen. It’s called eudemonia, the happiness or fulfillment that comes from the action itself, not the result of it. Any other benefits that come along—someone is grateful, your project is a success—are icing on the cake.

 Catch the boomerang.

Gratitude, when expressed to others, almost always comes back around. People who feel appreciated are more willing to make an effort for those who make them feel valued. In one study, waitresses who simply wrote “thank you” on the check before handing it to their customers received, on average, 11 percent more in tips that those who didn’t. Waitresses who wrote a message about an upcoming dinner special on the checks also received higher tips—on average, 17 to 20 percent higher. In a world where personal connections seem increasingly limited, and sometimes stressful when they do occur, gratitude resonates.

 Seize the moment.

Look around you: What’s right with your world? If you have a hobby, practice it. If you don’t, find one. Reach out to others; share something.

Says Barbara Fredrickson, a psychologist at the University of North Carolina, “Gratitude has the potential to change everything from its ordinary state to being a gift.”

Now, that’s saying a lot.

So ladies I will start the party off right!

Today I am grateful for the opportunity to come to you each day and to speak something in your life that can make it better each day. I get to do what I love and I love doing it! I am grateful for the health and happiness of my family and myself. I am grateful for my clients and the break through they are getting. I am grateful for Myspace for without them I would not have met YOU!

Ok now it is your turn. What are you grateful for today. And if you want to read the article in its entirety.

Ladies I just have to share this video with you. There may not seem like there is a message of succeed, try, don’t stop, in this video but there is. First, I love this video because my son is a firefighter and I love the tribute the artist pays to them. Thank you to all who serve us everyday because that is their passion. And passion is what I want to talk to you about today. Passion means a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything: example: a passion for music. This artist obviously has passion for what he does. He is focused and you can see it in how he moves.   Passion enables us to overcome obstacles (both real and imagined) and to see the world as a place of infinite potential.

Passion has its own energy — an energy that’s observable and transferable.

Best of all, you can’t fake it The artist entitled this piece HERO. HERO explores commitment to an ideal. It asks the question: What endeavor would you undertake knowing full well that the odds are you will fail? What would you give your all to knowing it’s likely you will be severely injured or even die trying? What is the greatest possible reward and in that thought, what is the most valuable and priceless thing on earth?

Reinforcing Moments

Posted in attitude, blogging, dream coach, girl power, girls, goals, life coach, moms, new years resolution, personal development, success, the secret at 1:23 pm by Sandra Hersey

j0227829.jpgReinforcing Reinforcing Moments

Perhaps the best part about being a Life Coach is that you get to decide exactly how you want things to be. And, maybe one of the hardest things about being a Life Coach is that you get to decide exactly how you want things to be.

Every decision you make and every step you take in life with either lead you towards or take you away from your dreams and goals. Reinforcing Moments. For example, the moment you choose to set a goal to loose weight (or whatever your goal is), and write it down you immediately reinforced your decision to do that. When you set down and make a list of what your food for the week is, and you take stock of how much water you drink each day, you are setting even more reinforcing moments. When you tell people about your decision to make a healthier lifestyle for yourself, you reinforce your decision again.

The Moments of Your Life
Life is made up of moments. A memorable one here; one you’d like to forget, there. These are like bricks in a wall and it takes many Reinforcing Moments to build a strong future. Everything you do to support your decision to loose weight (or whatever your goal is) strengthens you. Every action and follow-through gives even more validity to the process of your growth.

Build on your goals, and your life, one brick at a time. However, build on it every day. Then there will come a moment when you truly recognize and appreciate what you have done and if you just keep moving forward you will reach that goal. Go for it I believe in you!
