Is It God Will?
You may click the BlogTalk link above to hear the Radio show of this Dose of Inspiration or read it below.
So many people say I want to do God’s will or I want God’s will for my life or my situation. However, they usually follow up the previous statement with “but I don’t know God’s will for me.”
Today we are going to show you once and for all what God’s will is concerning your life and your situation.
We know that to be a child of God we must have accepted Jesus into our lives as our Lord and Savior, then after doing that we have an inheritance opened up to us. This inheritance is as if we were given an inheritance by the wealthiest man on this earth, a man where money and power could settle everything for you, well we have been given something far better.
And our inheritance does give us everything we need. I encourage you to read the 1st chapter of Ephesians to read about some of the benefits you have received as a child of God. Ephesians 1:3 says “We are blessed in every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.”
In other words, every provision for your physical health and welfare has been given to you. Your spiritual needs, including victory over sin and fear and failure have already been met in Christ Jesus.
Right here is God’s will for you. It is His will for your life to be blessed in all areas; he does not want lack or sickness for you.
Would a God who is love according to 1 John 4:8, want to send His son to save you then want to keep you in poverty, sickness, frustration, hurt, anger, bitterness – NO he wants to give you all that is good. James 1:17 tells us “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father.”
Nowhere in the Word of God does it tell us that since Jesus came to this earth to be beaten for our sicknesses and crucified on a cross for our sins, nowhere in the word does it say he wants to teach us lessons by keeping us in sickness and poverty, in fear, doubt, unbelief and failure. That is not his will!
To know the will of God for your life, you must read the Word of God. His word IS his will. Hebrews 4:12-13 tells us the Word of God is alive and nothing is concealed from its (His) sight, and God and His Word are one (John 1:1).
We must understand that God and His Word don’t just agree, God does not just agree with what the Bible says, God and the word are one.
His Word is as all-knowing as He is. When you realize that when God speaks, His words comes from His heart and they are filled with Him. It’s the same way when you speak from your heart; your words are full of you.
So not only is every answer for your every need written down for you on the pages of the Bible, but there in black, white, and red is the will of God concerning your life.
Are you praying for salvation for your family, God’s will is there as to whether or not he wants them saved? In Acts 16:31 “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be save, and thy house!” There is God’s will, you AND your house! What about those lost that are not your family Ps. 2:8 tells us to pray for the lost in heathen lands! And there are so many more on his will for salvation, we need to look them up and stand on them!
Are you asking God if it is his will to heal you? Isaiah 53: 4,5
Matthew 8:16,17 & 1 Peter 2:24 all tells us of Jesus being wounded, bruised, and taking on our infirmities and bearing our sickness and healing us – it says “we were healed!” that is past tense, it was done, he already did it for us! It IS his will for us to be healed today and forever!
Do we all agree that whatever Jesus did on this earth, he was an example of what we are to do, how we are to act. I would say we all agree to that.
So if we look at Luke 5: 12-13 we see a man who had leprosy and this man asked Jesus to heal him IF it be his will, and Jesus said “I am willing, be healed!” It was Jesus will for this man to be healed!
Well you may say, yes but that was for this man. Well Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. “ And Acts 10:34 “God is no respecter of persons.”
Are you worrying about a situation in your life? 1 Peter 5:7 tells us we are to “cast ALL of our cares on him,” it does not say worry.
We talked last week on the show about Phil. 4:6 if you missed that show on How to change your situation I encourage you to listen to it. It is Not God’s will for us to worry. We are telling him we do not trust him when we are worrying, he can’t answer our prayers when we are in worry.
What about financial situations?
Phil 4:19 tells us “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus!” Who is the supplier, you the worrier or God? God is! So we need to trust this promise.
3 John 2 tells us “beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.”
Luke 6:38 has the perfect will for your finances and I am walking talking proof of it “Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
So you cannot ask I wonder if I should tithe or give of myself and my resources, here is His will!
If you want to know God’s will concerning a matter in your life you must study the Word of God and find his will for you. His word is his will.
The word tells us it is his will for us to be healed, saved, wealthy, at peace with everyone and everything! So let’s not doubt His word but instead let’s stand on the promises He has already given us, this word is our manual – our contract with God! What we are entitled to as his children.
When we can find a scripture about whatever we need – right there is our answer as to whether or not it is God’s will for us!
John 5:39 tells us to search the scriptures, and when we do this, we will know his will!
1 John 5:14,15 tells us “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”
Break down:
We have confidence in Him; confidence that if we ask according to his will, he hears us.
Remember his word is his will, so if we ask according to the Word of God, if we pray and stand on a scripture over our situation, we know we ARE praying his will.
Then it says, and if we know he hears us, well how do we know, well we just read it – if we ask according to his will he hears us.
So we are praying his will and asking by asking with the scripture
for example if I was needing finances I would pray
Father in the Name of Jesus, I am asking for finances to increase in my life. I have given of my tithes and offerings and according to Luke 6:38 your word says “Give and it will be given to me: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into my bosom. For with the same measure that I use, it will be measured back to me.” You also tell me in
Phil 4:19 that you God shall supply all my need according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus! So I am standing Father on your promises and according to mark 11:24 you said I can ask whatever I desire and believe that I have received it and it shall be done. So I thank you now Father, that you are my supplier, I call you my supplier, I praise you that you ARE my supplier. And you do bring to me the finances I need in a good measure pressed down shaken together and running over, I thank you now for the men and women who are going to give unto me because of you and your word. I thank you for it now that it is done already, in Jesus name!
Then no matter what it looks like in the natural I praise him that it was done back when I prayed the prayer and stood on the promise. I do not need to beg him I do not need to keep praying the prayer over and over because that is unbelief,
I might think God was not listening or did not hear me or I did not say the right words. But that is unbelief – I stood on his word, and I thanked him in advance by faith that it is done and I praised him and I keep thanking him and praising UNTIL (I don’t stop by what I see) I praise him and thank him until I see it come to pass in the natural. Then I testify about his goodness!
I know he has heard me according to 1 John 5:14, 15 “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” And it says I get what I ask him for! Hallelujah his word IS his will.

God will do for you what you make happen for others!

The Bible is the true word of God. In it we find the answer to everything in life we are facing. Everything that has or is happening in the earth can be found in the Bible. His Word is true and from the beginning of the universe God established laws which could never be broken. One of those laws is the law of sowing and reaping. This law is an expression of God’s faithfulness to his children. It is impossible for God to deny Himself therefore He made it impossible for us to ever get around the law of sowing and reaping.
And though you may believe I am going to talk about sowing and reaping in your finances today (because you do reap what you sow in your finances!) I am going to talk about another form of sowing and reaping – God will do for you what you make happen for others!
What you sow into another persons life God will bring it back to you! As a minister and Director of a Bible College I have many opportunities to sow into others lives. Never really thinking about the fact that God would bring it back to me. I do it for the love I have for others and wanting to help them grow in their faith and learn who they are in Christ Jesus. However, even though I am a minister I too have things I desire for God to do for me. One being, sending people into my life to speak to me, mentor me, grow me up in the places I have not ventured out into. I am a firm believer that everyone needs a mentor(s) in their lives. I have many friends in the 5 fold ministry, and sometimes I hear them asking (either directly or indirectly) “when is anyone going to pour into me? I give and give to others, and sometimes I just want to have someone I can trust so I can be refreshed a little.”
Yesterday as I was watching with my family a DVD teaching, the minister said this scripture and it lept to me in my spirit; “Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.” (Ephesians 6:8) Now this minister was not teaching on this particular scripture however it was as if it jumped out of the TV screen and right onto me!
This is such a wonderful nugget and truth which God has given to us. It cannot change, He does not change (Malachi 3:6). Even if you have not been asking God to do for you what you have done for others you still have the right to it. It is a law established by God and you are entitled to it and He WILL do it! Now this is not to say we are to go around doing for others things we want done for us. This is talking about a sincere serving and giving unto others, God will have others serve and give unto you. We are to serve others because we want to serve them. We want to love them, we want to help them. The point I am making is it is a law, and if you have been asking God to give you something you have been sowing all along, then jump and rejoice because it is on it’s way! It is a promise and a law from God! “Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.”

Live Long, Live Strong Part 2

( This is Part 2 of Yesterdays blog by Gloria Copeland)
Live Long…by the Book (The Word of God)
Like every other blessing, there are conditions to living a long life. Psalms 91 is a picture of the person who receives this blessing.
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.”
The person this is talking about loves God and stays connected to Him. He doesn’t fear, but trusts the Lord to be his refuge and says so. The truth of God’s Word is his shield and buckler. He dwells or abides under the shadow of the Almighty in obedience, and God shows him His salvation. The word salvation means “material and temporal deliverance from danger and apprehension, preservation, pardon, restoration, healing, wholeness and soundness.”
God will satisfy you with good things, including healing, protection and long life when you are living and abiding in Him.
Keep Doing God’s Will
For years I heard Kenneth Hagin say you ought to live 70 or 80 years, and if you’re not satisfied, live awhile longer. He proved that to be true. He passed 80 and just kept going until he finished his work.
A commentary on Psalms 90 in the Tehillim says until Moses reached 80, like other men he was growing weaker. But look what happened to him then. “When he reached the age of eighty, Moses received an extraordinary infusion of youthful energy and vitality, because at that time he was chosen to lead the Jewish people out of Egypt, to receive the Torah, and to lead the Jews to the Promised Land. This Divine mission so invigorated him that his health and strength remained undiminished until the moment of his death.”
Deuteronomy 34:7 says, “And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.”
Just as He did with Moses, God can give you a new assignment at any time. So if you have noticed that you’ve been slowing down because you’re getting a little older, double up on the Word. Let the Word be made spirit and life to you (John 6:63). And get involved with what God is doing. That’s the best way to live a long, productive life.
Acts 1:1-2 in the New Living Translation says, “Jesus began to do and teach until the day he ascended…” That’s my plan too—to do and teach until I ascend! I encourage you to do the same. Live long and live strong-stay well and stay here as long as God has something worthwhile for you to do.
You Don’t Have to Be Sick
One woman wrote to us and asked, “If I keep getting healed, how am I ever going to die?” The best way for your body to die is for your spirit to just leave. You don’t have to be evicted—forced out by sickness, disease or accident. God can call you out and say, Come home. Come on up here. You can simply pass over from this side to the other side—from earth to heaven. I get excited just thinking about it. Glory to God!
You don’t ever have to be sick. God’s best is for you to live in divine health every day, but He is also eager to heal. John G. Lake said, “Divine healing is the removal by the power of God of the disease that has come upon the body. But divine health is to live day by day, hour by hour in touch with God so that the life of God flows into the body just as the life of God flows into the mind or flows into the spirit.”
You live in divine health by staying in continual contact with the Word of God and the Spirit of God. In fact, the way to be free in every area of life is to attach yourself to God.
It’s your responsibility to stay well and whole. You do that with the Word of God and by resisting the devil. Go to the Bible and find out the truth. Realize that healing belongs to you and stand in faith for it. Rebuke symptoms when they try to come. Say, “No, you’re not coming here, in the Name of Jesus. I’m healed by the stripes of Jesus.”
When the devil tries to crowd your mind with dark thoughts about your life being cut short, rebuke them. Replace those thoughts with the promises of God. Speak the Word out loud in faith. Remember Psalms 91 says the person who makes the Lord his refuge, the one who receives protection and deliverance, has to say so.
Obey Natural and Spiritual Laws
God didn’t make your physical body to fail. He made your physical body to sustain itself when given the right food and the right conditions. He created your body to stay well and live to be of old age.
And if that’s your goal, you’ll need to determine that. Regardless of what ailments your relatives have had, they don’t need to affect you. Don’t look at your family history. You are born of God. Now you’re part of His family. You can take the Word of God and stop any unwanted, hereditary tendencies in your life.
Now, that doesn’t mean you can eat unhealthy foods all the time and expect to live healed and live long. Most sickness is self-induced by living wrong and eating wrong. There are natural and spiritual laws by which we are to live. It’s our responsibility to eat the right kind of food, exercise, rest—to make choices that will help us stay healthy.
God expects us to obey Him. Scripture tells us over and over to hearken to God’s voice and His Word. Proverbs 4:20-22 says, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” The margin of my Bible indicates the word health can be translated as “medicine.” God’s Word is medicine to your flesh. Not only that, this medicine affects everything in your life. It will cause your faith to rise up and receive.
Get into the Word—it’s essential to your life and health. Spend time there and find out what God is telling you to do. If He instructs you to make changes, know that they will always be for your benefit. Psalms 25:12-13 in The Living Bible says, “Where is the man who fears the Lord? God will teach him how to choose the best. He shall live within God’s circle of blessing….”
When you are obedient to walk in His ways, God surrounds you with blessings— healing, protection, favor, whatever you need.
Guard Your Heart
If symptoms linger, if our healing doesn’t readily manifest, Ken and I start checking to see if we are walking in love and obeying God. We ask ourselves if we are spending enough time in the Word of God for it to be made life and health to our flesh.
Proverbs 4:23 in The Amplified Bible warns, “Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.” You “keep” your heart by keeping it full of the Word of God. That’s the most important thing you have to do in this life. You can’t live in divine health and keep your faith up without a steady diet of the life force of God, which is the Word of God.
The wisdom of God is written down for us in His Word. Revelation of the Word is precious because it takes care of everything in our life. It causes health and healing to come. It brings happiness, joy and peace—nothing missing, nothing broken. Walking in God’s wisdom is a key to living long and living well. Proverbs 3:13-18 says:
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
By spending time in the Word of God we can have so much life flowing out of us that sickness and disease can’t even get close to us.
Jesus teaches us that our commandment is to walk in love. We are to love God with all our heart and to love each other. You can’t live long and strong and be in strife, unforgiveness or other disobedience. When that happens the life flow is hindered. Disobedience also comes in the form of wrong words, traditions of men, anger, bitterness, grief, fear, envy and jealousy. All disobedience opens the door to the enemy and stops the life flow. These things can adversely affect our health and our ability to receive from God.
Disobedience opens the door to the effects of the curse in our lives, but obedience releases the blessings of God.
I’m convinced it would be possible to live to be 120 years old by obeying the Word of God. If you ate the way God said to eat and abstained from what He said to abstain from, you’d be well on your way to a strong, healthy body. Add to that a steady diet of the Word of God, allowing the life force of the Word to continually quicken (make alive) your mortal flesh. Then if you were faithful to obey the Word of God in every area of life, I believe you could live an active, productive life of 120 years or more.
When you walk with God, you can walk healed and live long. “And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee…the number of thy days I will fulfill” (Exodus 23:25-26).

How To Inherit Wealth And Have Your Bank Accounts Filled

Have you ever wanted to inherit wealth and have your bank accounts filled? How about having common sense for a situation or even success? What about multiplying your days and adding years to your life? If I was to do an infomercial like this I could sell this until Jesus comes! “For 5 payments of $39.95 you too can have all this and more!” I know you are laughing right now, but I have some great news for you, you can have this AND more – how you ask? By getting wisdom. Wisdom according to Webster’s Dictionary means “The ability to discern or judge what is true, right, or lasting; insight.” Wisdom is something we all want to obtain however we may forget God has instructed us in Proverbs 4:5 to “get wisdom, get understanding, forget it not…” Proverbs 4:7 “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” If you were to search the bible for the word wisdom you would find it over 222 times in the King James Version! Wisdom is so very important to God that He made wisdom from the very beginning; before he created anything else, before the earth began. ( Proverbs 8: 22-31)
The Word of God shows us all we can obtain when we obtain wisdom. It tells us repeatedly wisdom is better than rubies, gold, silver, and all things that are desired cannot compare to it! In this world we can desire some pretty great things, but wisdom does not even compare to whatever our desires are. However, when we obtain wisdom some of the things we are given is wealth, common sense, success, good judgment, joy, favor from the Lord, multiplying our days, adding years to our life, and so much more. I encourage you to search the Word of God and find out how important wisdom is and how much God wants to give you as you seek after wisdom. “Wisdom is the tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her tightly.” Proverbs 3:18.
So what is true wisdom? How do we obtain this wisdom God so wants us to find? Job 28:28 “ The fear of the Lord is true wisdom…” To fear the Lord does not mean to be afraid of Him as we fear things of this world. It means to have respect and reverence for God and to be in awe of His majesty and His power. We live in the “information age” we can obtain so much information at our finger tips, knowledge is plentiful, however wisdom is scarce. Wisdom means so much more than just knowing a lot. This wisdom we are to obtain is the basic attitude that affects every aspect of our lives. Where do we find this wisdom? It’s treasures are hid in Christ, they are revealed by His Word, and we are to receive them by faith through the Holy Ghost. We are to spend time daily with our Heavenly Father and His Word in order to grow in wisdom. God is the one who has all the answers, He knows where each of us need to go and what decisions we need to make in life. He knows how to get us there. He has the solution for every problem. We will never have the wisdom God has because He is all knowing, but we can get wisdom from Him, we are to seek Him for wisdom. However we can only do this by time spent with Him. He wants our attention and our time. He wants to give us the answers but we must first spend time with Him so He can give wisdom to us! Draw near to Him and if we do that, He will draw near to us in return.(James 4:8)

A Two Piece Fish Dinner

There are so many lessons which can be taught from Mark 6 where Jesus feeds the five thousand with a little boys lunch! In this story the disciples and Jesus were trying to go off by themselves after coming back from a ministry tour. However, alone is hardly what they were. The Bible says there were five thousand men and that was not counting women and children. So being alone was far from what these men were. However, Jesus in His love and compassion does not send them away but ministers to them. And not only does He minister to them spiritually, He instructs the disciples to minister to their very need of food. Jesus does not do the easy and convenient thing; send them home. He instructs the disciples to feed them! “Feed them!!” I can hear them answering in rebuttal. As a matter of fact they say “With What?” Can you hear the amazement in their voice as if they are saying “Can Jesus not see how many are here, thousands of hungry people and the place is a remote area, so how are we to do that?” Jesus instructs them to prepare for a meal. He plans on feeding the entire crowd with a two piece fish dinner!!!
One of the things I love is Jesus knew there were thousands and He knew there was only 5 loves of bread and 2 small fish, remember this meal was packed for a little boy, not a multitude! Jesus even goes so far as to count the amount of people when He gives specific instructions for them to sit in groups of fifty or a hundred. Why would Jesus do that? Just pray over the meal and start passing it out I say. Why count them? I think Jesus was not only going to show God’s mighty power by providing, He wanted it known just how powerful and mighty God is, that NOTHING is impossible for God! NOTHING! But Jesus was not concerned with the odds which faced them. He was not concerned with lack. He knew His Heavenly Father would show up and provide! Jesus was showing those present and His disciples that He could overcome this and so could they!
So many feel as if the odds are stacked against them. They feel like they have over five thousand to feed and only a “snack” to do it with. And it’s during those times that doubt can begin to overrun our understanding of “how.” How is God going to change my situation, when is He going to step in and turn it around? The situation you are facing may seem insurmountable, it may seem like over five thousand are waiting on you. But we must remember Jesus is not concerned with the odds, He can, will, and has overcome any obstacle. Your two piece fish dinner is what He needs to turn the situation around!
When they brought to Jesus the only thing they had – this little boy’s lunch, Jesus took it and then in verse 41 He blessed it. We have to give God something for Him to bless! That was the answer to their problem and it is the answer to yours. What do you have that you can put into Jesus’ hands and have Him raise it up to the Father and bless it. Whatever Jesus blesses is more than enough! In verse 41 it says he kept giving the bread to the disciples. They brought what they had, Jesus blessed it, and it was more than enough!
Whatever odds you are facing remember through Jesus anything is possible. You give Him something to bless, give Him your faith and trust in Him, give Him your finances, give Him whatever He asks you to give so He can bless it. Do not allow doubt to step in and stop your blessing from Jesus. Move forward in faith, give Him something to bless and watch as you too “eat as much as you want… with baskets left over.”
